| {December 2, 2005} JC & 1803 Update Instead of hibernating for the winter, Jon Chinn + 1803 will be playing shows, traveling, perhaps recording. We might even practice, for christsake. (Don't ask me. Maybe a new leaf turned sometime this fall.) We'll be playing shows in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dubuque in December and January. We would like very much to see you and your friendly midwestern friends there. All of these shows will be shared with Miranda Sound. Cool. Fun. The Cincinnati show is with Thistle, a fantastic band headed by Rick and Mike from Tiberius Records (great label that released the latest full-length from the legendary/genius Silo the Huskie, among other things). After weeks and weeks on the road spending time thinking about everyone's situation but his own, Jon is ready to rock. Well, he hasn't told me that, but I imagine he should be, dammit. Alright. Love it. See you soon. -dan {September 23, 2005} {June 13, 2005} {April 06, 2005} "Don't label this sensitive singer/songwriter; it's a turbo-charged
blast of crunching power-chord guitar riffs, pumping beats, and flawless
pop hooks. In the same class as Bob Mould, Guided by Voices, or Blinker
the Star, Jon Chinn holds his own." "Bringing strong comparisons to Elliott Smith and Matthew Sweet Jon's
songs are slow, but simply enchanting." "Charming and utterly unassuming, I Can't Believe You Live Like That
is a pop tour de force brimming with cold-water serenades, ingenious
arrangements and fiery guitar rave-ups."
